The Brief

MINI came to us directly, no agency intermediary, no lengthy brief document. A phone call, a clear vision: a original composition for the launch campaign of the new MINI full electric model in Italy. The music had to feel modern, forward-moving, and distinctly MINI. And it had to feature a whistle, not as a gimmick, but as a melodic instrument woven into the fabric of the track.

The Process

We composed and produced five original demos, each exploring a different emotional direction while keeping the whistle as a central melodic element. The whistle became the signature of the spot, light, optimistic, human. A sound that felt electric without being cold.

Over approximately ten days of creative back-and-forth, we refined the selected track through several iterations, adjusting arrangement, tempo and mix to fit the final edit of the spot.

The Result

The composition was selected as the main music for MINI’s 2023 Italian electric launch campaign. A track built from scratch, designed to make the transition to electric feel not like a compromise, but like a step forward worth celebrating.
